The Preferhired Challenge
Preferhired came to Bytelion looking for a team to help them disrupt the talent acquisition market. They wanted to design and build a high-tech, social referral platform to allow hiring managers to find talent efficiently. Other job seeking/recruitment sites on the market don’t fully utilize social networks. Equally important, other sites don’t allow users to benefit financially from helping companies hire the right people. Preferhired wanted to change that.
The Bytelion Solution
During an aggressive MVP phase, Bytelion worked through a well-defined research process to develop user personas. As a result, the team fully understood how different customers would need to use the platform and could develop smarter workflows. Using techniques developed at SCAD, our team developed a simple user experience (UX) template to reduce complexity and drive users to action.
Bytelion carefully considered several design approaches and selected Google’s Material Design as the style guide to best reflect the brand of the company. Using cutting-edge user interface technology and a well-crafted API design, the team iterated on complex user stories to develop highly evolved and efficient workflows to streamline many of the complex actions need in an Application Tracking System (ATS).
Bytelion integrated Braintree’s advanced payment systems with custom logic to maximize efficiencies in a multi-party commerce intensive operation. Payment processes were designed and developed to reduce the risk of fraud and fiduciary risk. To ensure accuracy, countless automated unit tests were created and executed on a daily basis to ensure peak operating performance.
Preferhired can leverage the most powerful systems in the world. During the initial development, the team designed the application programming interface (API) specifically with the idea that the system could integrate with multiple 3rd party systems to include CRM solutions, accounting software, and most importantly, independent applicant tracking systems (ATS). Secure and fast, the Preferhired API is a highly scalable, enterprise-level platform.
The team constructed a referral system to allow users to rapidly share referral links to their networks. The team optimized sharing techniques to reduce user friction and increase job throughput.
