TEDCO, Maryland’s framework to grow innovation, wanted to develop a unique data tracking tool called Mentortrac to help them understand how to use mentor resources. Decision makers needed to not only have a single source of mentor data but, better yet, understand the effectiveness of those mentors. What made this project most noteworthy was that this was a first-of-its-kind application for TEDCO. The tool needed to track mentoring efforts in the state while showing data at the county level. Key skills included testing, reporting and advanced data modeling efforts. This ground up effort included design and a full web build. TEDCO had a unique set of challenges and was looking for the right team to support them.
The Bytelion Solution
Bytelion was selected to partner with TEDCO early on. The team reviewed several solutions before starting. In addition to designs, the team built a system allowing for finite admin control of data. To ensure data safety, engineers deployed into Amazon’s virtual cloud. The team built robust reporting tools, backed up data for rapid recovery, and consequently, kept stake holders in the know.
As a result of the team’s effort, Mentortrac’s data engine stands by to support TEDCO’s growing need for actionable intelligence.
